Marco Pierre White
“Ben Burgers cannot be beaten for quality and consistency which is why they are the only burger that I have on my menus. The team at Ben Burgers are dedicated to ensuring that quality comes as standard and the standards they set and exceed for themselves are of the highest level. I would never hesitate to recommend these burgers to anyone”

Sylvester Stallone
“... This is the best burger I have ever eaten....”

Frank Lampard
“As a professional footballer my health and fitness is of utmost importance and so I am always conscious of my diet – Ben Burgers are guaranteed to be of the highest quality and always guaranteed to contain only the best ingredients making them a healthy option and always a keen favourite among the team.”

Craig Douglas, Owner, The Bree Louise Pub
The Bree Louise Pub uses Ben Burgers on its menu and sales have increased by 20% since introducing them. Owner Craig Douglas started using them after hearing that the company was a supplier to Marco Pierre-White. “Once I heard that Ben Burgers supplies the respected chef, I wanted to find out more,” says Douglas. “As the meat content is so high and because they don’t shrink during cooking like other burgers we used in the past, we were able to order 4oz burgers instead of 8oz and get a better quality burger while also making our budget work hard, but in no way compromising on quality.”

Frankie's
“Ben Burgers are a firm favourite with our customers keeping them coming back for more. As juicy as a steak and the exceptional standard of ingredients certainly make these burgers stand out from the crowd.”

Tony Roma's
“Great Taste, Great Quality, Great Service - Ben Burgers are the best on the market which is why they are the only choice for our menu”
The EBLEX Quality Standard Mark (QSM) is the UK's leading beef and lamb quality assurance scheme, as advertised by the popular Beefy and Lamby characters.
Launched in 2005 by the English Beef and Lamb Executive, the Quality Standard Mark is based on existing farm and food chain assurance schemes, such as Assured Food Standards (Red Tractor).
The EBLEX Quality Standard Mark uses the latest scientific knowledge to exclude certain types of animal - based on factors such as age and seasonality to help ensure consistent eating quality. The specification also includes a minimum maturation period where appropriate.
The Quality Standard Mark forms an important part of the wider EBLEX strategy. It sets out to differentiate quality beef and lamb from commodity product, helping to build a long term, positive business environment for producers and the industry.
Beef and Lamb is eligible to carry the EBLEX Quality Standard Mark if it has been reared on a farm that is a member of a recognised farm assurance scheme (such as those meeting Red Tractor scheme requirements).
It must also have been transported and slaughtered through an EBLEX- approved, fully assured supply chain, which includes assured livestock markets where appropriate.
Beef and Lamb must be born, raised and slaughtered in England to be labelled with the English flag. Beef and lamb which does not meet the ‘England only’ criteria but has a UK provenance can carry the Union Flag.
HACCP:
(Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) EU Regulation 852/2004 (Article 5) requires food business operators, including meat plant operators to implement and maintain hygiene procedures based on HACCP principles. It is a systematic preventive approach to food safety. HACCP is used in the food industry to identify potential food safety hazards, so that key actions can be taken to reduce or eliminate the risk of the hazards being realised. The system is used at all stages of food production and preparation processes including packaging, distribution, etc.
Red Tractor Scheme
EBLEX also supports the Red Tractor scheme, which covers quality beef and lamb production as well as a range of other agricultural produce. The Red Tractor assurance standards encompass food safety, animal welfare, environmental protection and traceability. Beef and Lamb is eligible to carry the EBLEX Quality Standard Mark if it has been reared on a farm that is a member of a recognised farm assurance scheme (such as those meeting Red Tractor scheme requirements).
